At Kuma Bears Creative Lab, we are committed to protecting the privacy of children while they learn to read. This policy explains our practices for the "Scan & Learn" videos found in our coloring books.

1. No Personal Information Collected

Our character videos are non-interactive. When a child or parent scans a QR code:

  • We do not ask for a name, email, or any other contact information.

  • We do not use the camera or microphone to record the child.

  • The video simply plays to help the child learn the target sight word "go" complete their coloring page.

2. Support for Internal Operations

When you scan our QR code, our server automatically receives a "persistent identifier" (like an IP address). As permitted by COPPA, we use this information only for internal operations, such as:

  • Ensuring the video loads correctly on your device.

  • Counting how many times a video has been viewed to improve our books.

  • We do not use this data to track your child across other websites or to create a "behavioral profile" for advertising.

3. No Third-Party Sharing

We do not share any data with third parties for marketing purposes. If we use a video hosting platform, we use "Privacy-Enhanced Mode" to ensure no personalized tracking cookies are set.

4. Parental Rights

As a parent, you have the right to ask us about the technical data we collect or request its deletion. Since we do not collect names or emails, we identify sessions only by anonymous technical IDs.
